Jodie Ferrari & Women Into Enterprise

We are so excited to introduce a brand-new project.

Women into Enterprise, Educate to Elevate.

This is a partnership project with KOGS funded by the European Social Fund. It’s aimed at women age 18+ who are currently not in education, employment or training, who are eligible to live and work in the UK and can 100% commit to the course.

What is educate to elevate?

Educate to elevate aims to educate women in areas of the beauty industry to provide them with the skill set to go on to employment, self-employment or further training.
We aim to enhance confidence, self-esteem, interview skills, personal presentation as well as employability techniques and support learners to create their own CV’s and improve their digital education aka use of social media.
We hope to elevate our learners so they become empowered and motivated to enter the world of enterprise.

What do I do to join?

To take part please fill in the application form below.
You will be asked to come for an informal chat where will discuss the course with you and see what your options could be.

Who will be taking the classes?

There will be weekly sessions within Jodie Ferrari Makeup Academy, these will be during school hours to suit mums.
The courses available at JFMA will be one of the followings, hair styling, acrylic nails, or makeup artistry. All tutors are qualified teachers and are very experienced in their field.

We also have an employment specialist, who will be showing inside tips and tricks to get you on that employment ladder.
Samantha will be showing our learners how to write a CV, how to present yourself for an interview, and where to search for jobs.
All of what will be taught in our employability sessions are transferable skills and knowledge to other industries.

What will I gain from this?

You will receive an accredited certificate from the beauty guild, 3 months insurance and beauty guild membership alongside the skills to set you off in your new career.

A kit will also be provided for you to keep for your specific area so you can get started straight away.

You will have the skills and knowledge to write your own cv. You will know how to promote your new business on social media.
You will know where to look for jobs and you will be prepared and capable of attending job interviews.

With our help after this course you will hopefully either be self-employed, employed or continuing your professional progression with further training.

How can you be sure this will work?

In early 2021 K.O.G.S and JFMA launched a pilot project funded by the Mayor’s office of Manchester for young women who needed some direction and focus, wanted to learn new skills and were ready to take on a new challenge.

Jodie Ferrari Makeup Academy LTD teamed up with Keeping our girls safe (K.O.G.S) to offer hair and beauty qualifications, business advice and lifetime options to young women in and around Manchester.

Their aim was to empower girls and women to have confidence and self-esteem and inspire them to make positive life choices.

The feedback and results from this course were outstanding, and we went on to complete further self-care sessions with KOGS and charity Positive Steps.

Established in 2011 K.O.G.S was set up to address the gaps in the service provision available to young people around prevention and early intervention by educating young people on unhealthy relationships and supporting those that had been groomed or exploited in a holistic way.

Keeping Our Girls Safe (KOGS) is a registered charity working with children and young people to educate them about unhealthy relationships, child sexual exploitation (CSE), grooming and risks.
